Made for the Planet
Every MAHĀNA towel is made from recycled polyester blended with nylon — giving new life to materials that would otherwise end up in landfill. By choosing recycled fibres, we reduce our reliance on virgin plastics without compromising on performance. Our waffle weave construction uses less material than a traditional terry towel, and because MAHĀNA towels dry faster and pack smaller, they naturally leave a lighter footprint — on the planet and in your bag.
Care Instructions
Machine wash cold with like colours. Hang to dry — your MAHĀNA towel will dry quickly thanks to its waffle microfibre construction. Avoid tumble drying, ironing, and bleach. Your towel will soften with every wash.
Whether you're practising yoga on the sand, soaking up the sun, or exploring new coastlines, the Mandala towel is your perfect companion. Inspired by mindful living and New Zealand beach culture — made to last.

Frequently asked questions
Is this beach towel really sand-free?
Yes. The waffle-weave microfibre has a smooth, tightly woven surface that sand can't work into, unlike the looped cotton fibres of a terrycloth towel. Give it a shake and the sand falls straight off.
What is the Mandala towel made of?
80% rPET (recycled polyester) and 20% nylon, woven into a 390gsm waffle microfibre. Each towel is made from around 30 post-consumer recycled plastic bottles.
Can I use it as a yoga or picnic towel?
Yes. At 160cm x 80cm it works well as a yoga mat towel, picnic rug or camping towel — the quick-dry, sand-free properties make it useful well beyond the beach.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash cold or 30°C with like colours and hang to dry. Avoid tumble drying, ironing, bleach and fabric softener — softener coats the fibres and reduces absorbency.
